Creative resolution of a landlord/tenant non-payment issue in which we provided the tenant with a chance to get caught up on the balance owed and minimized the long-term financial repercussions he might face, while also protecting the landlord in the event of the tenant’s breach of the agreement.
Successfully defended a landlord against a tenant’s allegations of uninhabitable living conditions by neither denying the conditions nor making the newly demanded repairs, but instead meticulously organizing the landlord’s records and photos and testimony to show that the conditions were repeatedly and systematically created by the tenant.
Coordinated with other residents to evict a problematic tenant who was being disruptive in the community by being unbearably noisy and making physical threats against those other residents.
Successfully ejected unknown occupants from a home which the property owner had lost sight of while dealing with other personal issues for a period of years. In so doing, we proved to the court that the alleged lease which the occupants were claiming was real was, instead, fraudulent and they had no right to reside there.
In a nonpayment case which we filed on behalf of the landlord against a tenant, we issued subpoenas and exerted leverage on behalf of the tenant and against the housing authority where the housing authority wasn’t doing its job to process income changes that the tenant had provided to it, which ultimately reduced the amount that the tenant owed while still getting our client paid in full.
